eco-shaper & the University of Surrey
About our partnership
Creative and interdisciplinary intellectual community
The vision for the institute is inspired by the ‘people-centred’ grand challenges of the UN Sustainable Development Goals which are social and financial inclusion, education, work, justice and responsible use of resources. Professor Adrian Hilton, founding Director of the Surrey Institute for People-Centred AI said “we’re excited about the potential for the institute, and the creative and interdisciplinary intellectual community we are building here at Surrey. The institute will take a radical new approach to shape future AI ensuring that solutions are designed to empower individuals, whilst being inclusive of the whole of society as a force for good.”
People-centred AI research training and sustainable innovation
The leadership team contains representation from across all facilities of the University. They will be responsible for implementing and evolving the institutes strategy to establish a leading international centre of excellence in people-centred AI research training and innovation, and its application for the benefit of society.
At eco-shaper, we are proud to work with academics from both of these centres of excellence at the University of Surrey, AI and the environment, to further develop our collaborative approach to helping companies and their employees become part of the collective solution we need to to help save our planet.
